Growing up in San Marino in the Italian peninsula – Chef Tomas has always been intrigued with cooking. He was always in the kitchen with his mother and grandmother learning about the preparation of home-cooked Italian food. He started cooking from the age of 14 and even while schooling, he pursued part-time jobs in restaurants that added to his wealth of culinary experience.
“I learnt a lot from my grandmother – wherever you come from in Italy, the best kitchen is your grandmother’s kitchen”. He considers himself an open-minded chef who loves experimenting with new flavours while retaining the traditional authenticity which is at the crux of Italian cuisine. He has travelled and lived in Slovakia and Hungary when he was young and later worked in Germany and Bahrain before coming to Asia.
The pride of San Marino is a variety of handmade pasta and to bring the authentic flavour of San Marino to KL, Chef Tomas specially built a bottega to prepare these hand-made pastas. His philosophy has always been to present good and diverse Italian cuisine and in Malaysia, Enoteca is simply the best place to have simple, fast, delicious and nutritious Italian food and wine.
